Almost lunch time and I'm just getting to work. Started my day at the clinic with a glucose test. It requires a 12 hour fast followed by a bloodtest, after which you have to down a glass of super sweet orange syrup. Then its a two hour wait before the final bloodtest. I showed up at 6:30am and there were already 30 or more people ahead of me. What, did people sleep there? After I got my number I went to the receptionist and asked whether they did perform this type of test, otherwise I would have to head off to the hospital. She said yes but that if my number wasn't called before 8:15 I could skip the line and get myself checked in. The clinic only offers bloodtesting for only 4 hours in the morning. My number came up just prior to 8:15 so no one got their knickers in a twist that I got to skip the line. My major objective has been completed for the day. Now I find myself all a jitter from too much sugar. Good thing it's lunch time.
BTW tomorrow is Canada Day, our national holiday. No work for me and then that's it for the civic holidays till Labor day in September. Can you believe it is time to say good by to June? Not exactly sure what the plans are, DH invited friends over for a BBQ, no one has yet to confirm and he just told me he has to go to the office for a couple of hours. Hmmmmmmm makes preping very difficult.
We have a function tonight in downtown Montreal. It's a 50th Birthday celebration and art exhibition all in one. This is going to be different. Got to run and get caught up on some actual work. Hope you have a great day.
