We are still in the grips of a deep freeze with wind chills somewhere around the -38C during the better part of the day. Someone I know posted that it will be -42C overnight. At this point what's the difference. All everybody wants is for it to end soon!!
Surprisingly, the old car started this morning. It growled a bit but then caught a spark and away it went. I had to let it idle a good ten minutes in the driveway before heading out, even then the engine light continued to indicate that the engine was still cold. I've been driving this clunker since October because it is unsafe for DS to drive. It needs too much work for the value of the car and we have been planning to replace it but there has been no movement thus far. I'm sooooooooo happy it started!
Poor Lola made a mad dash out and was back at the door in record time this morning. Actually the first time I opened the door she turned around and walked away. She's no fool, but in the end she had to go out and take care of business. Although she was out less than a couple of minutes she was hobbling by the time she came back. It's kind of shocking how quickly her paws froze up. Unfortunately, I can't go straight home and stay there after work. There's a visit with my Dad and I have my class.
Sorry to bore you with all this weather crap, "blah blah blah it's cold". But as the weatherman said "it's spectacularly cold" and that's worth a chin wag or two. Funny thing is, somehow I think he thought that by saying that it just made everything better. "Aaaaah nope, still sucks"!

Shah! It's cold here too! Needless to say, I haven't been outside much.
